The practical agreements that help us keep every child safe, fed and well cared for.
1. Enrolment
Enrolment is confirmed once the completed application form, required documents (child's birth certificate, parent/guardian ID, immunisation record, proof of address) and the registration fee have been received. Placement is subject to available space in the applicable age group.
2. Operating hours
The centre operates Monday to Friday, 7:00 – 16:00. Children collected after 16:00 may be subject to a late-collection fee. The centre observes South African public holidays and communicates term breaks to parents in advance.
3. Fees & payments
Monthly fees are payable in advance by the first of each month. Fee schedules are provided at enrolment. Non-payment for two consecutive months may result in suspension of the child's place, subject to consultation with the family.
4. Health & safety
Children who are unwell (fever, contagious illness) must remain at home until fully recovered. Parents must notify the centre of any allergies, chronic conditions or medications. In an emergency, the centre will contact the guardians listed on file and, if necessary, arrange emergency medical care.
5. Meals & nutrition
Kwazondi provides a hot lunch and daily snack, prepared on-site by our cook. Special dietary needs are accommodated where possible; please discuss these with the principal at enrolment.
6. Collection & authorisation
Only persons listed on the child's collection form may collect a child. Parents must notify the centre in writing if a new person will collect the child. Valid ID may be requested.
7. Outings & photography
Occasional outings form part of our programme; a signed indemnity is required for each trip. Photographs taken at the centre may be used for internal records and, with parental consent, on our website and social media.
8. Privacy
Personal information provided to Kwazondi is used solely for the care and administration of the child's enrolment. We do not share information with third parties except where required by law.
